Undergraduate Semester Exchange Program for Fall 2025
(Sabanci University and ISCTE - Lisbon University Institute)
We are pleased to share student exchange opportunities for our undergraduate (Sophomore and Junior) students for Fall Semester 2025!
Important points for interested students:
- Sophomores and Juniors are eligible to apply for the Semester Exchange Program with a minimum CGPA of 3.00
- Students enrolled in their 6th semester are not eligible to apply for the undergraduate semester exchange program as students cannot go on the exchange in their last academic year, as per the policy.
- Students enrolled in their second semester are also not eligible to apply for the undergraduate semester exchange program as per the policy.
- Make sure to determine the associated costs before applying.
- Selected students are expected to bear IBA semester fee and all the other expenses including accommodation, airfare, visa and travel insurance expenses, local commutation, books, and stationery, etc. during the exchange period.
- Students do not have to bear the tuition fee of the host university.
- It is mandatory for students who want to travel abroad to have medical insurance.
- Must have valid passport (at least 2 years valid).
- Shortlisted students have to make sure to get approval before selecting courses at the host university.
- IRC offers students after the interviews if they get shortlisted. Once you accept the offer, then you are bound to follow the procedure and avail the opportunity. If you back out at the last minute, then a letter would be issued by IRC stating that student accepted the offer and then didn't go for the Semester Exchange Program. This letter will be placed in your file for the record.
- Shortlisted students are not allowed to negotiate any financial assistance requirement with the host university.
- Students availing the IBA financial aid and National Talent Hunt Program (NTHP) scholarship, or any other scholarship must get the availability of their finances checked from their donors to avoid any problems regarding the finances.
Note: If all credits hours studied at the other university are not transferred into the final transcript of the IBA Karachi due to the academic policies, then it may take some more time to complete the degree and it may increase the duration of your studies at the IBA Karachi. This must be communicated with the donors of the scholarship and/or NTHP team before applying into the program.
Interested students are requested to upload their updated CV along with completing the online form for undergraduate students at the link: https://ibaapps.iba.edu.pk/sfs(Exchange Opportunity Module). Please note that you will have to login with your ERP ID to complete the application.
Please note that the complete form shall be received no later than 9:00 AM on FRIDAY14, March 2025. Shortlisting will be done primarily on academic merit and interview.
NOTE: Unfortunately, the deadline cannot be extended because the international partner universities have their own deadlines, and we have many students to interview and shortlist before that. Students are advised to apply within the deadline.

- 1. Sabanci University (Istanbul, Turkey)
Established in 1996, Sabanci University is a premium institute of Turkey with an aim to cultivate its existing local and regional comparative advantages to generate, articulate, uncover, and develop leading-edge knowledge in order to create competitive competencies within an international and global context. Currently the university houses more than 3300 undergraduate and 800 graduate students in a campus that is away from the hectic life of the city, yet offers everything students may need in their everyday lives. Amenities abound from a performing arts center to a sports hall, convenience store, and Movie Theater and exercise areas.
It has 13 undergraduate and 41 graduate programs each offered with a mission to develop internationally competent and confident individuals, enriched with the ability to reflect critically and independently, combined with a strong sense of social responsibility. Sabancı University has 42 clubs founded and operated by students that gives them an opportunity to develop in an environment that cater to all needs of a successful and active citizen.
IBA students from all disciplines are eligible to apply for the exchange program to Sabanci University. Sabanci University is accepting students through Semester Exchange Program into the Management Undergraduate Program. - 2. ISCTE - Lisbon University Institute (Lisbon, Portugal)
ISCTE - Instituto Universitário de Lisboa (ISCTE-IUL) is a public university established in 1972. Pursuing teaching, research and community service activities, it plays a major role in educating qualified specialists and personnel, whose cultural, scientific and technical skills enable them to contribute to sustainable development both at the national and the global level. The strategic objectives of ISCTE-IUL are: innovation, quality, internationalization and development of an entrepreneurial culture. While preserving its public university nature, ISCTE-IUL is currently one of the three Portuguese universities (along with the University of Porto and the University of Aveiro) which adopted the Foundation Regime, the latter prescribing management according to private law.
