Overview:
Beasiswa Kemitraan Negara Berkembang, popularly known as KNB Scholarship, is a prestigious scholarship program offered by the government of Republic of Indonesia to selected applicants originating from developing countries. Managed by the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research and Technology, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, the scholarship has been disbursed since 2006 to 1,608 recipients from 97 countries.
Application Information:
Procedures:
- Download the Invitation Letter from the KNB Scholarship website;
- Submit the Invitation letter, curriculum vitae, valid Passport (personal data page only), Academic Certificates (in English), Academic Transcripts (in English), TOEFL or IELTS score certificate (or other English Proficiency test) obtained within the last 2 years, motivation letter, dissertation proposal and academic references from the potential research supervisor from Indonesian University (for Doctorate program), to the Indonesian Embassy or Indonesian Consulate to acquire the recommendation; letter;
- Complete the online application process;
- Selection Process
- The Selection Results will be broadcasted online through the KNB Scholarship Website and officially announced through the Indonesian Embassy publication network.
Requirements:
Bachelors:
- The maximum age to apply for the scholarship is 25 years old.
- Hold a High School degree (please provide the scanned degree certificate and academic transcripts in English). Please be advised that master degree holder is not eligible to apply for the Master Degree scholarship.
- Have the English Proficiency Test Score as follows: IBT TOEFL of 80, IELTS of 6.0, TOEIC of 700 (the certificate must be obtained within the last 2 Years).
- Provide the recommendation letter to apply for the KNB scholarship from the Indonesian Embassy or the Indonesian Consulate General.
- Provide recommendation letter to apply for the KNB scholarship from The employer/immediate supervisor (in English).
- Provide Academic Recommendation Letter from previous schools (in English).
- Prove of citizenship (Official Passport or Personal ID).
- Complete the online application form: https://knb.kemdikbud.go.id
Masters:
- The maximum age to apply for the scholarship is 35 years old.
- Hold a bachelor degree (please provide the scanned degree certificate and academic transcripts in English). Please be advised that master degree holder is not eligible to apply for the Master Degree scholarship.
- Have at least the IBT TOEFL score of 80, or IELTS score of 6.0, or TOEIC score of 700 (the certificate must be obtained within the last 2 Years).
- Provide the recommendation letter to apply for the KNB scholarship from the Indonesian Embassy or the Indonesian Consulate General.
- Provide recommendation letter to apply for the KNB scholarship from the employer/immediate supervisor (in English).
- Provide Academic Recommendation Letter from previous schools (in English).
- Prove of citizenship (Official Passport or Personal ID).
- Complete the online application form; https://knb.kemdikbud.go.id
PhD:
- The maximum age to apply for the scholarship is 40 years old.
- Hold a master degree (please provide the scanned degree certificate and academic transcripts in English). Please be advised that Doctorate degree holder is not eligible to apply.
- Obtain a recommendation letter from the potential research supervisor in one of the universities providing partner of the KNB Scholarship.
- Provide a statement of purpose that at least states the purpose of their studies, the origin of their interests in studying in Indonesia and pursuing their chose research topic and their plans for the academic future and dissertation proposal (in English).
- Have a TOEFL or IELTS (or other certified English Proficiency Test) score of 90 TOEFL IBT or 7.0 IELTS or equivalent (the certificate must be obtained within the last 2 Years).
- Provide the recommendation letter to apply for the KNB scholarship from the Indonesian Embassy or the Indonesian Consulate General.
- Attach a letter of recommendation for the KNB Scholarship application from the employer/direct supervisor (in English)
- Prove of citizenship (Official Passport or Personal ID).
- Attach a letter of recommendation from previous universities (in English).
- Complete the online application form: https://knb.kemdikbud.go.id
