Graduate Semester Exchange Program for Spring 2024
We are pleased to share student exchange opportunities for our graduate students for Spring Semester 2024.
Important points for interested students:
- Must have completed at least two regular semesters with a minimum CGPA of 3.00.
- Make sure to determine the associated costs before applying.
- Selected students are expected to bear IBA semester fee and all the other expenses including accommodation, airfare, visa and travel insurance expenses, local commutation, books, and stationery, etc. during the exchange period.
- It is mandatory for students who want to travel abroad to have medical insurance.
- Must have valid passport (at least 2 years valid).
- Shortlisted students have to make sure to get approval before selecting courses at the host university.
- Students availing the IBA financial aid and National Talent Hunt Program (NTHP) scholarship, or any other scholarship must get the availability of their finances checked from their donors to avoid any problems regarding the finances.
Note: If all credits hours studied at the other university are not transferred into the final transcript of the IBA Karachi due to the academic policies, then it may take some more time to complete the degree and it may increase the duration of your studies at the IBA Karachi. This must be communicated with the donors of the scholarship and/or NTHP team before applying into the program. - The credit transferred in to the transcript would be either in the grade form or as T on the transcript.

Please note that the complete form shall be received no later than 9:00 AM on Thursday 07, September 2023. Shortlisting will be primarily on academic merit.

- 1. Sabanci University (Istanbul, Turkey)
Established in 1996, Sabanci University is a premium institute of Turkey with an aim to cultivate its existing local and regional comparative advantages to generate, articulate, uncover, and develop leading-edge knowledge in order to create competitive competencies within an international and global context. Currently the university houses more than 3300 undergraduate and 800 graduate students in a campus that is away from the hectic life of the city, yet offers everything students may need in their everyday lives. Amenities abound from a performing arts center to a sports hall, convenience store, and Movie Theater and exercise areas.
It has 13 undergraduate and 41 graduate programs each offered with a mission to develop internationally competent and confident individuals, enriched with the ability to reflect critically and independently, combined with a strong sense of social responsibility. Sabancı University has 42 clubs founded and operated by students that gives them an opportunity to develop in an environment that cater to all needs of a successful and active citizen.

- 2. Bilkent University (Ankara, Turkey)
Bilkent University was founded on October 20, 1984 through the joint resolution of İhsan Doğramacı Education Foundation, İhsan Doğramacı Science and Research Foundation and İhsan Doğramacı Health Foundation. The establishment of this private university was later approved by an act of Parliament. The aim was to create a center of excellence in higher education and research. The name “Bilkent” exemplifies the founder’s aim, since it is an acronym of “bilim kenti” in Turkish for “city of science and knowledge.”
Currently there are about 13,000 students in 9 faculties and 2 four-year professional schools. Among them are foreign students from different countries. With funds from the endowments provided by the founder, the university each year awards scholarships to 47% of the student body.
To promote the enrichment of teaching and research programs, Bilkent University entered into collaborative projects and exchange programs with many universities abroad. Bilkent has student exchange agreements with universities from countries such as Australia, Japan, Italy, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Canada and the United States of America.
Bilkent University ranks in Times Higher Education’s 100 Under 50 list of the world’s best young universities.

- 3. IAE Aix-Marseille Graduate School of Management (Aix-en-Provence France, France)
Established in 1955, IAE Aix-Marseille is the first business school founded in the French university system and is part of Aix-Marseille Université, world's biggest French speaking university. It offers graduate programs (Masters, MSc, MBA, PhD) specializing in different management disciplines that are constantly in alignment with the needs of the business world.
IAE Aix-Marseille demonstrates its strength in innovation through the constant development of new programs as well as through its research activities. It places emphasis on group work, active learning through practical application producing professionals, who excel not only in their specialized field but also in the management of change and interpersonal relations.
Today approximately 30 percent of the population at IAE is composed of international students from approximately 60 different countries and has a network of international partners from five continents.

- 4. ISCTE - Lisbon University Institute (Lisbon, Portugal)
ISCTE - Instituto Universitário de Lisboa (ISCTE-IUL) is a public university established in 1972. Pursuing teaching, research and community service activities, it plays a major role in educating qualified specialists and personnel, whose cultural, scientific and technical skills enable them to contribute to sustainable development both at the national and the global level. The strategic objectives of ISCTE-IUL are: innovation, quality, internationalization and development of an entrepreneurial culture. While preserving its public university nature, ISCTE-IUL is currently one of the three Portuguese universities (along with the University of Porto and the University of Aveiro) which adopted the Foundation Regime, the latter prescribing management according to private law.
With approximately 9000 students enrolled in undergraduate (46%) and postgraduate (54%) programs, 450 teachers and 220 non-teaching staff, ISCTE-IUL is proud to be one of the most dynamic and innovative universities in the country. Facing high demand, the student vacancies at the ISCTE-IUL have always been fully occupied.

- 5. Sapienza University of Rome (Rome, Italy)
The Sapienza University of Rome, also called simply Sapienza or the University of Rome, and formally the Università degli Studi di Roma "La Sapienza", is a public research university located in Rome, Italy. It is one of the largest European universities by enrollments and one of the oldest in history, founded in 1303.
Sapienza is the largest University in Europe. Its mission is to contribute to the development of the knowledge society through research, excellence, quality education, and international cooperation. The most influential university rankings worldwide place Sapienza among the first Italian Universities for its research, educational quality, and international dimension. In the rankings for individual subjects, our University is a reference point for many disciplines.

- 6. Koç University (Istanbul, Turkey)
Founded in 1993 in İstanbul, Koç University is a non-profit private research university located in Istanbul, Turkey and supported by the resources of the internationally renowned Vehbi Koç Foundation. Since its establishment, Koç University has emerged as a center of global excellence in science and education and is uniquely positioned to explore the overlaps of Medicine, Engineering, Science, Social Sciences and Administrative Sciences to further pursue basic and applied research and attract the best students and faculty members.
The university has steadily climbed in various university rankings, both internationally and nationally, and is always striving to achieve even greater heights. Recently, Koç University has been ranked 1st in Turkey by the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2021 and QS World University Rankings 2021.
