Held on 29th October 2014 at the GT Auditorium in Main Campus, "The Jackal Has Escaped" is yet another talk held by Poetic Reconstructions. This time round, IBA Literary society and IBA Social Sciences Club joined hands to make this year's lectures bigger and better than what they've been in the past. These talks are held to rejuvenate the interest of youth in literary arts and classical literature.

In the third lecture of the series, the talk opened to a full house. Mr. Arif Hasan arrived to grace the event with his wisdom. He talked about the importance of harnessing positive energy, proportions and harmony and balance in architecture. Dr. Nomanul Haq talked about the issue of cultural transmissions across linguistic and political boundaries. Making visual arts his focus, Dr. Nomanul Haq talked about the cross-cultural journey of literary themes and of motifs arising in the said theme and focal point.
