Tharparkar is among the most neglected areas of Pakistan with poor medical facilities. Hundreds of precious lives are wasted every month due to malnutrition and unavailability of medical assistance. Realizing the need of the area, IBA Community Welfare Society initiated a two-day medical camp in Umerkot and Nagarparkar. The main purpose of this camp was to provide free medicines and check-up to the underprivileged residents of the area. The camp had few renowned and professional doctors supported by a team of 20 undergraduate students. The society was able to treat over 1400 patients absolutely free. The team was able to raise a total of PKR 1.3 Million in the span of two weeks. Clothes were also distributed to the underprivileged population of Tharparkar.
