Another lecture of the Distinguished Lecture Series organized by IBA Student Council was held on February 13th, 2015 at the G&T Auditorium, IBA Main Campus. This lecture included a conversation with the honorable guest speaker, Justice Jawwad S. Khawaja. The panel members in this conversation included Dr. Azam Ali (Faculty, IBA), Mr. Umer Gilani (Former Chief, Supreme Court of Pakistan), Dr. Noman-ul-Haq (Faculty, IBA), Dr. Framji Minwalla (Faculty, IBA) and Mr. Asher Qazi (Former Chief, Supre Court of Pakistan).

Mr. Jawwad commenced this conversation by mentioning that 'our entire life is a learning experience both in terms of materialism and evolution of the soul'. According to him, 'Justice' is a divine attribute and has many other definitions but the foremost definition of justice is equality. Later Mr. Jawwad talked about the 'Constitutional Conundrum': how can a constitution get structured in a way so that everyone is free to choose their own actions along with avoiding outcomes that are not desired.

Mr. Jawwad further shared his opinions on poetry. He said that words can't define what poetry means to him. Words limit the essence of what a poet imagines and therefore, poetry is something beyond words and language.

The conversation was concluded by a Vote of Thanks by the Dean & Director IBA, Dr. Ishrat Husain.
