CONNECTING GENERATIONS - A Journey of Courage & Commitment
16th APRIL 2025: This time around the Office of Student Affairs has joined hands with the EDUCAST team to promote their collaboration called Connecting Generations.
Connecting Generations is a volunteering program that aims to bring together young individuals with elders in our community, to create connections and foster understanding between generations. To explain this unique idea in detail, the Office of Student Affairs invited the EDUCAST team for a session on 16th April 2025.
The session focused on the well-being and empowerment of the senior citizens in our society as well as the challenges they face in their daily lives. During the session, participants had the opportunity to learn about the various initiatives and programs offered by EDUCAST. From social activities to medical check-ups and mental health sessions, EDUCAST is committed to ensuring that our elderly population receives the care and attention they deserve.
One of the key highlights of the session was the emphasis on the importance of inclusivity and social connections for senior citizens. The session also shed light on the challenges faced by the senior citizens including social isolation, access to healthcare, performing daily life chores etc.
Overall, the Connecting Generations awareness session served as a platform to educate, inspire and mobilize students to play an important role in supporting senior citizens and promoting their well-being. EDUCAST is making a significant impact on creating a more caring community and Office of Student Affairs has joined hands with them to launch Connecting Generations at IBA, giving our students an opportunity to make meaningful connections with their seniors.
