International Math Day

On International Mathematics Day, the Math department at IBA, in collaboration with the IBA Mathematics and Astronomy Club and STEAM Pakistan, organized a special event for 90 government school students. The event featured exciting mathematical activities, including puzzles, knot tying, maths bingo, and Rubik's cube solving.

These activities aimed to make mathematics more engaging and interactive for the students. In addition, the students enjoyed a fun story and a speaker session by Professor Ahmed Raza, expanding their knowledge about pi and learning about the famous 7 bridge problem and graph theory from Dr. Danish Ali. Winners of the activities received calculators, while runners-up received geometry boxes to aid them in their studies.

The event concluded with a campus tour of IBA and delicious treats, including apple Pi(es). Overall, the International Mathematics Day celebration at IBA was a successful event that provided government school students with a unique and interactive experience of mathematics. It not only helped them develop their mathematical skills but also gave them a glimpse into higher education and research at IBA.
