IBA Finance Club held its launch in the G&T Auditorium of IBA Main Campus on November 6, 2017.

The event itself was divided into three segments:

1. There was an initial introduction of the Club and its office bearers. The host of the event went on to highlight the various activities planned by IBA Finance Club for the year 2017-2018 including launch of a whole new Mega event this year. So, stay tuned!

2. A guest speaker session was conducted by Mr. Sennen Desouza (Co-Founder at Investors Lounge). It was an engaging and an informative one-hour session including a Q&A session right in the end. The topics that Mr. Sennen covered in this session were the background story of investors lounge, the role of Fintech industry in the future of capital markets in Pakistan, and the opportunities for the IBA students to have a career in this industry. This was followed by an enlightening Q&A session.

3. An entertainment session was arranged in the form of an open mic contest (auditions of which were taken beforehand) with cash prizes. There were 5 performances in total and each performance was given a stage time of 6 minutes to entertain the crowd. The performances were riveting with the audience clearly delighted. After the performances were done, their videos were shared on the Facebook and live voting began. The voting ended at 11:59 pm on the same day with about 800 votes being casted in total. The winner and runner ups were subsequently announced on the Facebook page.

Overall, it was an entertaining and informative launch. Our heartiest congratulations to the IFC team 2017-2018 for pulling off the event and we wish them best of luck for their future events as well.
