HR Club Launch

A sentiment made up of memory and pride swells our hearts when we recall the IBA HR Club's grand launch event, "The Fall Fest". This glorious event that was held on 19th, September, 2019 was a result of the knee-deep efforts of the whole team and their spirit to not settle for anything less. The IBA HR Club set a new benchmark by wonderfully pulling off their launch event. The event was comprised of four main segments; Guest Speaker Session, a Grand Food Festival, an Open Mic Session and a Live Concert.

The launch commenced with guest speaker sessions at the G&T Auditorium. The IHRC collaborated with NowPDP, a nonprofit organization that aims to help individuals with disabilities in our society by providing them with training and work. A small presentation was delivered by an intern at NowPDP, Fatima Javed, which further accentuated the core objective of IHRC, The IBA Human Resources Club.

This was followed by an "Information Session" which was held in collaboration with ICI Pakistan. It was hosted by ICIPL's HR learning and Organizational development lead, Sanam Ahmer Khan. The session's main focus was on the transition from "Campus to Career" which offered the attendees a head start in their graduate career. Khan engaged the audience by addressing the major concerns of students in the field of HR including tips on resume building, interview skills and other things that aren't taught in colleges.

A "Grand Food Festival" was also set up in the Football Ground throughout the event. It was complemented by a variety of delectable cuisines including 14th Street Pizza, Jack and Charlie, Potadose, Rigo's, Cookie Tales and a number of other food stalls catering to delight everyone's taste buds.

The evening started with different performances including an exhilarating Flash Mob dance and an "Open Mic Session" where students showed off their skills. These performances included talented students showing off their singing skills, comedy sessions cheering up the crowd, dance performances and much more.

To end the night with a bang, the super talented Ali Tariq gave an astounding performance making the audience give their voices away. This dynamic and zestful "Live Concert" was definitely the hit of the night which made the hyperactive crowd of more than 500 students holler at the top their lungs. No lyric left unsung and no beat left unmoved to!

The Concert marked an end to the eventful day. The IHRC was pleased to have a profusely positive response from the audience and further hopes to carry the Club's legacy to heights beyond this new benchmark.
