On Monday (8th Dec, 2014) people witnessed the first mega event of the Social Sciences Club, Dhanak: The Fusion of Art, Entertainment and Culture, at IBA main campus.

This event was a ride into our Pakistani culture, a trance into the crossroads of fusion and was in short a time capsule to our forgotten roots. All of this was depicted in a cultural walk very elegantly arranged which aptly captured an image of our diverse culture.

To add to the enjoyment of the audience, the event holders had also arranged for people to be mesmerized by the voice of Mr. Owais Wahab who is an indigenous talent of IBA.

Finally the climax was the splendid performance by ace comedian Danish Ali’s whose timing and comic punches left the whole audience in laughter fits and the hearty applause could even be heard outside the auditorium.

All in all it would not be wrong to say that Dhanak was indeed a breath of fresh air for IBA students and gave them a chance to break free of their monotonous routine.
