Animal Rescue 101s: Helping injured street animals

As students involved in animal rescue, we at AWSA are all too familiar with the frustrating feeling of wanting to help an injured animal but not knowing what to do.

This interactive training session was on the basics of animal rescue with Sadaf, founder of the shelter Rays of Light Animal Welfare. Sadaf is passionate about rescuing and has extensive experience in dealing with uncertain situations involving sick/injured street animals. In this session, we learned a great deal from her experience and engaged in a conversation about the ground realities of animal welfare. This was followed by refreshments and the distribution of eco-friendly tote bags.
