US–Pakistan Knowledge Corridor PhD Scholarship

Higher Education Commission (HEC) is pleased to announce the ongoing implementation of the US–Pakistan Knowledge Corridor PhD Scholarship — a Government of Pakistan initiative to build high-level, locally committed talent in priority fields essential for the country’s development. 

About the Scholarship

The Knowledge Corridor PhD Scholarship funds talented Pakistani students to pursue doctoral studies at top-ranked U.S. universities (QS World University Rankings — top 300). The program’s central aim is to ensure that scholars obtain world-class training and then return to Pakistan to apply their expertise across academia, industry, government and civil society. 

Objectives

• Develop a highly trained cadre of researchers and professionals in priority subject areas.
• Strengthen Pakistan’s capacity for research, innovation and policy development.
• Encourage scholars to contribute directly to national development on their return.
