Module/course catalogue for study abroad students
Students must include course choices and reserve choices on their application form. When looking at modules, please make sure that students are selecting modules for the correct semester. Incorrect choices are often not picked up until later and can delay a student’s enrolment. The catalogue with detailed descriptors is here: https://portal.stir.ac.uk/calendar/calendar.jsp?view=visiting
For example – looking for History modules, click on Faculty of Arts and Humanities on the left hand side -> click on History and Politics and a module list will be shown. The top of each module descriptor shows the semester (autumn or spring), credits (20 credits is one full module, maximum permitted per semester is three modules or 60 credits), level (07, 08 [lower level], 09 and 10 [upper level])
Students will need to make choices based on the 25/26 catalogue and when they are registered by the University of Stirling for classes in August and the team will let students know of any changes.
Housing for study abroad students
Housing choices for study abroad students have not yet been confirmed for 2026/2027 but details will be shown on this website when available (normally end of March/beginning of April):
https://www.stir.ac.uk/student-life/accommodation/how-to-apply/visiting-students/
Please note that accommodation is allocated on a first-come first-served basis. Study abroad students will normally have the choice of two on-campus and one off-campus residence. On campus accommodation is not guaranteed. Students will not be able to apply for accommodation until we have received their application, and the student has accepted an offer of admission.
Accessibility support for students
Students who require specific accommodations especially for mobility reasons, should raise this with the study abroad team at the time of application and further advice will be given at that stage.
